HER STORY


Misty lived as a feral dog in the campo for years.


A wonderful couple noticed her and wanted to help. They began leaving food for her and patiently continued for two years, slowly building a relationship with her. Eventually, Misty began to trust them enough for them to get closer.


They contacted AA Dog Rescue to ask whether we could help catch her. We provided a cage, and after two years of patience, Misty was finally brought safely into our care.


She was extremely nervous when she first arrived, understandably unsure about her new surroundings and life in kennels.

Several months later, the difference is remarkable.


Misty now shares her kennel with a canine friend, walks on a lead and allows staff to touch and comfort her. She is also beginning to look forward to human attention rather than fearing it.


She still needs people who understand that her confidence must develop at her own pace, but she has already shown that she is capable of forming trusting relationships.
