HER STORY

When Duchess first arrived at the shelter, she was a little unsure and shy as she adjusted to her new surroundings.

Thankfully, it didn’t take long for her confidence to grow and for her true personality to emerge.

Today, she is a happy, playful, and affectionate girl who enjoys fuss and attention from the staff and loves spending time with her favourite people.

Duchess is an intelligent dog who enjoys learning and is eager to please, making her a wonderful candidate for continued training and enrichment activities.

She can be a little excitable when she first heads out for her walks and may pull initially as she burns off some energy, but she quickly settles into a much calmer rhythm and enjoys her time exploring.

Duchess currently shares her kennel with a male companion and enjoys socialising with other dogs during walks. Her particular favourite is a large male Mastín who she loves spending time with.

Like many kennel dogs, Duchess can show some resource guarding around food within her kennel environment, and this will need sensible management and understanding in her future home.
