HIS STORY


Zen arrived at the pound at the beginning of May and immediately captured everyone’s hearts.


Not only is he a stunning Siberian Husky cross with one unforgettable piercing blue eye, but it soon became clear that part of his front foot is missing.


This does not appear to be the result of surgery. We believe it was most likely caused by a trap or another traumatic accident before being left to heal. Thankfully, the injury appears to be old, and Zen happily allows us to examine the area without showing any signs of discomfort.


Although he doesn’t use the affected paw, he refuses to let it stop him enjoying life. He loves his walks, enjoys spending time with our volunteers and approaches life with a resilience that is truly inspiring.


Estimated to have been born on 1 May 2024, Zen has his whole life ahead of him. He deserves a family who will look beyond his physical difference and see the wonderful, loving dog waiting to become their loyal companion.

Despite everything life has thrown at him, he remains friendly, trusting and eager to spend time with people. He enjoys his walks, loves attention from our volunteers and faces each day with quiet determination and a wagging tail.
